What Is Bucket Drums?
A high-energy percussive learning experience that turns everyday buckets into musical magic!
Music Fundamentals
A musical activity designed to teach the fundamentals of early percussive performance. Music reading is taught on buckets to enhance the academic part of the activity.
Rudiments
Rudiments — the basic technique of percussion execution — are performed on a drum as the foundation of all percussion performance. Master the basics and the rest will follow!
Drumline Style Theatre
Drumline Style Theatre is used to magnify performance and add a flare of excitement and viewing pleasure. It’s a SHOW, not just a class!
Program Rules
Respect, focus, and discipline make great drummers. Every legend follows the rules!
- 1Be respectful to the teacher and the bucket drummer next to you
- 2Hold your sticks and do not hit anything with them until told to do so
- 3Please do not talk, walk, or horseplay during Bucket Drums
- 4Play only when told to play — miscellaneous striking is not acceptable
- 5No eating or drinking is allowed during class
